Victoria Benson

My main career has been within Information Technology but I have been a volunteer in some capacity for at least the last 27 years, firstly as an IT professional helping to set up a project teaching IT to the unemployed and most recently as the lead gardener at Saddlescoombe Farm run by the National Trust. In between I was a Samaritan listener and also helped to organise Seedy Sunday in Brighton and Hove for about 8 years, being the chair for 2 years.  I have always been a keen gardener and now I have both a garden and an allotment.  I’ve had an allotment for about 8 years but I think it’s only this year that I feel it’s under control!  Probably because I’ve spent a lot more time there recently!
